Over the course of nine months, the total trading volume on both the exchange and OTC-Markets amounted to 2,440.08 billion UZS, with a total of 274,220 transactions executed. Compared to the same period of the previous year, it can be noted that the exchange trading volume decreased by 33% in the current year, reaching 2,354.80 billion UZS. At the same time, the number of transactions increased by nearly 3.3 times compared to the first nine months of 2022, reaching 248,983 transactions.
When analyzing exchange transactions in more detail, it can be observed that two companies, namely Solutions Lab and Orient Finans, account for more than half of the total exchange trading volume, totaling 1,253.71 billion UZS. Additionally, attention should be paid to companies such as Hamkorbank (HMKB), O'zmetkombinat (UZMK), Kvarts (KVTS), O'zRTXB (URTS), Ipak Yo'li (IPKY), and UzAuto Motors (UZMT). Most of these companies are not at the top in terms of executed transactions, but they are well traded. This indicates that these issuers have high liquidity and are in demand among investors.
However, this cannot be said for O'zsanoatqurilishbank (SQBN). Despite leading in terms of the number of transactions over the past nine months, the total transaction volume is only 618.20 million UZS. When compared to Hamkorbank, which executed half as many transactions but with a total volume almost 7 times larger, it can be confidently stated that Hamkorbank has higher liquidity.
Why is there such a difference? It is believed that the number of transactions for O'zsanoatqurilishbank may be artificially inflated by other brokers who aim to boost their ranking through transaction quantity. Throughout the day, their traders may buy and sell O'zsanoatqurilishbank shares, causing the share price to fluctuate by 10 UZS per share.
Looking more closely at exchange trading, it is worth noting that LLC "MAKESENCE" completed the acquisition of Solutions Lab in two stages. In January 2023, a significant portion of the company, including 1,699,974 shares, was acquired for a total of 672.68 billion UZS. The final stage of the deal took place in September 2023, when the remaining 130 shares were acquired for a total of 51.6 million UZS. This significantly impacted the price of Solutions Lab shares, leading to a 396,900.00% increase.
For the issuer AO "Ravnaq-Bank," on September 19, 1435 transactions were registered, amounting to 2.36 billion UZS, with 11 of them related to the bank's common shares, totaling 2.18 billion UZS. It is worth noting that the transactions involving the bank's shares were conducted at their nominal value, which was 1,000 UZS per share starting from August, and amounted to 157.3 billion UZS for the purchase of 157 million shares. Additionally, as of September 25, there were 8 more transactions involving the bank's shares, totaling 4.12 billion UZS. As a result of these transactions, the ownership stake of Tursunov Iskandar Bakhtinurovich in the bank's shares increased to 89.70%, which also affected the share price, causing a 476% increase over 9 months.
In February 2023, individual Sitora Bakadirovna Akhmedjanova, the head of GARANT INVESTMENT, acquired 158,677,921 shares for a total of 198.3 billion UZS. In the same month, Saken Zhetibaevich Polatov, co-founder of Orient Finance Bank, purchased 306,103,461 shares for a total value of 382.6 billion UZS. Thus, two individuals acquired the entire share volume of this issuer in just one month.
As for OTC-Market transactions, in the first 9 months of the current year, the volume of such transactions amounted to 85.3 billion UZS, which is nearly three times less than in the first 9 months of 2022. However, the number of transactions during this period increased by 8 times compared to 2022, reaching 25,237 transactions.
